Approximately 408,425 children are in foster care in the United States right now. 107,011 of those children will not be able to return to home and are waiting for families to adopt them.
Because of many dedicated organizations around the country, more than 52,000 children in U.S. foster care are adopted each year. But that’s simply not enough. Last year, 27,854 children-76 each and every day-aged out of foster care without permanent families, alone and not prepared for life’s challenges.
How can you help ensure that every waiting child finds a family? |
