DONATE AN AUTOMOBILE
Through V-Dac Vehicle Donation program, AEA can now accept vehicle donations as a way to support its mission. Here is what you should know about V-Dac Vehicle Donation:

• Takes any vehicle, anywhere, running or not. They accept any kind of vehicle: cars, trucks, motorcycles, RV’s, boats, airplanes, heavy equipment, farm machinery, etc. No smog certificate is necessary and they can solve almost all title issues. They have contracts with over 3500 tow companies, auctions and recyclers, nationwide, so they can pick-up anywhere in the country, with very, very few exceptions. If you have a unique item, please call their toll free number, so experts can address any special issues.

• Free: No Costs to you or AEA!
  All expenses are deducted from the gross sales price and, if the costs ever exceed the price, the V-DAC covers those costs.

• Quick Pick up
  V-Dac is happy to arrange a “Quick Pick-up.” Normal pick up schedule is within a few days of receiving your paperwork in the mail. You will receive a call from the tow service to arrange a convenient time. You do not need to be there. It usually takes 45-60 days from the time the vehicle is picked-up until the entire process is complete and the net cash proceeds are delivered to AEA. The agents at their call center keep track of the timing and status of the vehicle in the sales process and are available to give status updates to charities and to donors.

• By Internet or Phone
  Many donors prefer to input the vehicle and pick-up info on-line. Just click on Donate Now, or you can call 877-999-8322 and trained Service Center Staff will walk you through the donation process.

• Tax Benefits for YOU
  You are entitled to receive a Tax Deduction equal to what the vehicle is sold for by the charity if you itemize your deductions. If the vehicle is sold for less than $500, you can deduct the fair market value up to $500. You will receive a tax receipt stating what your vehicle sold for within a few days of the sale of your vehicle. Call the toll free donation number if you need another copy of this receipt.

• Big Help to AEA
  There are no costs or risks to AEA in this program and it is a valuable supplemental source of income to sustain our programs.
