Flight

Adopt Air is an Adoption Exchange Association (AEA) program offered in collaboration with Mercy Medical Airlift to all AEA members. It gives adoption exchanges and placement agencies throughout the country the ability to arrange for children to fly up to 1,000 miles from their place of departure to attend adoption parties; be videotaped for TV recruitment; travel to meet prospective parents or for placement visits.

Adopt Air utilizes the resources available in the private aviation sector of the National Charitable Transportation System. The flights will be in light general aviation aircraft - flown by licensed pilots who donate all expenses associated with the aircraft operations. These pilots do not get paid and do not have their expenses reimbursed so they are truly volunteering not only their time but their personal resources. There are about 4,200 volunteer pilots in the United States and we owe a debt of gratitude to them for their willingness to serve in support of the adoption of special needs children.
