NATIONAL ADOPTION CREDENTIALING
Program: Every Child
Benefits: Monthly Mileage Reimbursement
Type: 7-10 hours per week
Commitment: February 2018 – June 2018
Education: Junior or Senior-level college student enrolled at a university or college studying social work, management, public administration or closely related field
Location: On-site at the Adoption Exchange Association (AEA) headquarters, Linthicum, MD
Make a difference and help support social workers across the country with their continuing education needs at the Adoption Exchange Association! This part-time (15 hours/week) unpaid internship will expose students to national adoption practice and continuing education. The intern will work two days per week at AEA headquarters in Linthicum Heights, MD.
Website: The intern will be responsible for updating and writing content for the website and conducting research related to AEA members’ area of work.
Social Media: The intern will be responsible for writing and curating weekly content for the organization’s facebook page.
Education: The intern will prepare national credentialing applications, and promote upcoming continuing education sessions on our social media channels and websites.
Research Project: The Intern will work on a research project around promoting careers in adoption to students. The research project will be shared with the AEA Board of Directors at the end of the semester – a one-of-kind experience!

· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Access to reliable transportation
· Understanding of social media
· Ability to work independently and take initiative
· Strong writing skills
