From permanency planning for children affected by natural disasters, terrorist attacks, and epidemics, Mr. Ernesto Loperena will share examples of how the skills he brought to bear as an adoption worker had a positive impact on lives of New York City children. As a former Executive Director of the New York Council on Adoptable Children who built his career on developing strong relationships and sustaining effective partnerships, Mr. Loperena will offer advice about how to manage your career in adoption and navigate changes in the field. Students, early career professionals, and mid-managers will enjoy a rare opportunity to seek advice from Mr. Loperena.  He will share helpful tips from decades of experience to remain inspired, encouraged, and committed to serve children, while enjoying a long and rewarding career in adoption.
