Arizona initiative "A Community Thrives" is a $2.3 million grant support that The Arizona Republic, Gannett Foundation and USA Today Network have formed to provide local grants from $5,000 to $75,000. These grants do not have to be project specific but can be used for overhead costs.
California based law firm Children's Advocacy Institute in California has filed a class action lawsuit alleging that Indiana is violating constitutional rights of children involved in Child in Need of Services cases when they are not provided with legal counseling during dependency hearings. Marion County Public Defenders support this and state they would be willing to represent children in future cases.
Florida nonprofit Children Home Society states that the App CaseAIM is decreasing days that children stay in foster care by speeding up the process. An independent study by Florida Institute for Child Welfare also supported this claim.
