Indiana Department of Child Services will receive $286 millions of dollars after this legislative session. DCS hopes to use the additional funds to keep kids out of the system by promising to make changes.
Nebraska takes significant step toward Families First Prevention Services Act implementation and will be one of only 13 states to implement it by October 1, 2019. They submitted Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for potential providers.
US Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) has reintroduced The Fostering Stable Housing Opportunities Act. A bill that increases access for youth aging out of foster care without increasing federal spending. This bill will prioritize foster youth to receive furnished assistance and opportunities to become productive members of society.
