Arizona tuition-free trade school, Sigma College University Trade School (Sigma CUTS) is helping low-income community members by offering housing to people going through job training. Sigma CUTS is geared for people transitioning from foster care and has shown that through their program will be able to achieve sustainability within 6-24 months.

California's bill 912 would allow 21 year olds to stay in extended foster care for as long as California is in an official state of emergency and an additional six months after the emergency order is lifted. If this is signed into law, SB 912 would be retroactively applied as of March 4 and ensure any youth who aged out of care would regain access to benefits.

Illinois Department of Children and Family Services suspended in-person visitations during the coronavirus pandemic. A judge has dismissed the lawsuit filed by parents of children in protective custody who said their rights to equal protection under the Constitution were being violated by the indefinite suspension of in-person visits with their children.
